Travel Photographer of the Year Exhibit

Going to London? Don’t miss the opportunity to see some stunning contemporary images from the prestigious international Travel Photographer of the Year (TPOTY) awards showcased at the Royal Geographical Society in South Kensington. I was invited to attend the opening reception on May 4th along with other winners to speak about our exhibited images, but sadly could not attend. I was keen to see Larrie Louie’s hauntingly beautiful imagery of Mali in person. If you’re not familiar with the awesome Canadian photographer, look him up!

The exhibit is open from May 5-June 10, 2011 from Monday to Friday 10am-5pm. Admission free. The Royal Geographical Society is located in south Kensington at the junction of Exhibition Road and Kensington Gore.

If you can’t go, check out the abbreviated version highlighted on the BBC website. British travel photographer and founder of the Travel Photographer of the Year, Chris Coe, narrates a 7 minute audiovisual show of the images here: BBC slide show
