Snapshot: backyard photo ops

It’s easy to find great photo ops in exotic locales–but harder to photograph our own back yard. Guess we take it for granted and don’t “see” the ops in our city. Or maybe we get so caught up in the day to day that we don’t think about taking our cameras out to play. So here’s one taken around the bend on the Ohio River where I live. My daughter is a Hannah Montana wanna be–so I thought it would be fun to dress her up in my old cowboy boots (from my South Dakota days) and Daddy’s guitar and put her on the railroad bridge. Used a diffuser on my flash, which I had off-camera on a little light stand aimed down from a 45 degree angle. Don’t worry…trains no longer use these rails!
