Welcome to our blog!

Spending a month in Egypt and Jordan on our honeymoon, years ago, propelled our joint travels around this fascinating globe. And photography, while at first a consuming hobby, became paramount in our lives, inspiring us to leave successful careers in engineering and speech pathology to pursue commercial/editorial and travel photography.

We love traveling with like-minded others who enjoy veering off the beaten path, and lead 3-4 international photo tours per year through our company Unique Photo Tours. We take pride in creating distinctive itineraries that you won't find anywhere else.

When not traveling, David keeps busy with his commercial photography business Bravo Studios, enjoying the challenges of photographing dancers and other performance artists on location and in his studio, while Kim still works part time with traumatic brain-injured/stroke patients, researches new destinations, and plans itineraries for upcoming trips.

David's photographs have appeared on billboards, ad campaigns, and brochures. Kim's travel photos have appeared in conjunction with her travel articles both on-line and in print publications including American Photo, Global Magazine, Outpost Magazine, Transitions Abroad Magazine, Wanderlust Magazine, Weird World, and LIVE, a Latin American guidebook. She won 3rd place in National Geographic's World in Focus travel photography contest. Her winning photo of Bhutan's Tiger Nest appeared in the 2009 January issue of National Geographic Traveler magazine.
